Easy to use and makes great ice cream. The recipe in the provided manual is simple and doesn't call for heat or eggs...just a pint of whipping cream, a cup of milk, 3/4 cup sugar, a pinch of salt and 1 tablespoonful (15ml) vanilla extract. Mix it up, chill the mixture (preferably but not absolutely required) and pour it in the frozen mixing bowl after turning on the unit. Our favorite is this recipe plus some broken up Heath bar, added at the end of the freezing process.

I bought the ice 21 p1. It doesn't sound like a rock crusher. And it makes great ice cream and sorbet. Soft serve in 15 min., much firmer after 20 min.

Excellent product. I keep bowl in freezer so it is always ready to use. Make sure mixture is well chilled before adding it to bowl. I add 1tbsp vodka to mixture so it doesn’t freeze so hard.
