Once you make sure the bowl is frozen, you've got a creamy ice cream in about 20 minutes! It was a little too creamy for me so I put it back in the freezer. Figuring out how long to put it back in the freezer takes some trial and error but it's nice and creamy.

It works better than the older, no-name one I had been using. It seems to hold its chill longer. Also of interest is the fact that the bowl rotates, not the blade. The opening in the top where you pour the mixture is bigger than what I was used to, so I don't need to take the same precautions to not accidentally dump the mixture all over the outside of the unit.
