We put this ice cream maker to immediate use and were very pleased with the results. The machine is unfussy and easy to use, relying on a freezing element that gets cold in your freezer. It comes with a book of recipes that are quite good. We recommend the "custard-style" ice cream recipes for the kind of texture you would get in a store. The ice cream sandwiches picture here were a huge hit.

I absolutely love my ice cream maker! It’s easy to use, and I have fine tuned the combination of ingredients to my liking. I prefer heavy cream, whole milk and half and half, with a little softer consistency than with just heavy cream and whole milk. The recipe booklet included is helpful and I’ve researched other recipes with do’s and don’ts on line, which is helpful. The Cuisinart ice maker is great quality, easy to use and clean, and fun to make delicious homemade ice cream!

I bought this as a replacement for an old 40+ year old ice cream maker that I hsd. I didn't want to give it up because it made such delicious ice cream... but I am glad I did! This new one makes my ice cream so much faster, is easier to use and very convenient! We have made several batches and every one came out delicious, creamy and evenly churned. The only thing I would have liked is an auto shut off when the ice cream is ready but then again it takes so little time, compared with my old machine, that it is fine. We like creating original ice cream mixtures so it is also very nice to have that lovely large opening for adding the finishing touches. We also love that we can keep the bowl in the freezer so it is always ready to whip up a batch when we want quickly!
