I gave this machine a 4 because I've only recently received it and have made ice cream once thus far. My ice cream froze well. It's still nice and creamy ..I'm not certain if that's because of the ice cream maker or the recipe but it's really good... there's nothing better than being able to use your own natural ingredients.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ingredients that I know are safe, fresh, and really good for me. Well, maybe not really good for me, but really good anyway. This machine makes the best ice cream and sorbet I have ever consumed.

This is my first-ever ice cream maker, so I may just have a bit more of a learning curve to overcome ... but my experience so far is mixed. Sorbet has given me the best results (though much of the work then was in pureeing the frozen fruit first in a blender). Adding some booze toward the end helped to keep it softer after freezing the extra for later. When I made oat-milk ice cream, so much froze to the sides (which has happened to significant extent each time, though not enough to stop the machine, just to cause a fair bit of wastage), that the bowl couldn't turn. I had to scoop everything out, gently scrape down the sides of the bowl, then restart ... which made a mess, and the bowl wasn't then really frozen enough. And at best, it doesn't really mix all that well, if you're adding in an ingredient per the instructions. So I'll keep experimenting, but won't get my hopes up too high.
