This machine is wonderful, and easy to use. I've already made two sorbets and an ice cream recipe which were far better than anything one can get in a grocery store! The Cuisinart seems to be well-made and sturdy. Now, I'm searching family recipes for my granddaddy's peach ice cream which he made every 4th of July!

For 50 year I have use the old fashioned ice cream 4-6 quart ice cream makers . With recent motor failure and inability to get a new motor my son gave me the Cusinart I have more ice cream in the last thirty days than I have in the last five years

The machine works great. We've been focused on peppermint ice cream, which isn't available locally. It's hypnotic to watch, even if it's hard to wait 20 minutes. I'm not sure how to clean it afterwards. If you wash it while it's still cold, hard to dry it out. If you wait for it to thaw, it takes longer to refreeze. It is awesome as a way to customize your ingredients. For example, my celiac son can use gluten-free Oreos to make gluten-free "cookies and cream" ice cream. It was delicious. Thanks for good recipe book.
