As an ice cream lover, my goal in purchasing a personal ice cream maker was to eliminate dairy from my diet as it triggers my chronic eczema. So far, I've made 3 batches of dairy free dessert. I'm still tweaking recipes as i like a creamy consistency and milk or cream is the ingredient necessary for creaminess, but using boxes of instant pudding and almond/coconut milk plus egg beaters has been the best "fix" so far.
The convenience of having ice cream within 20 minutes of craving it is very gratifying. (I'm not pressured into buying the stuff that is BOGO at the store anymore!) If you are hesitating but can get this for a good price, i encourage you to order it. With the exception of price, my only challenge is storage and it's worth the cabinet space.
