This comes with multiple recipes that are he right size for the freezer unit. That unit is relatively small (just over a quart) so not a plan for a crowd, but great for just at home. Those recipes (so far) have required hours of chilling or draining yogurt, so need to be planned for. Both we've tried so far (an ice cream and a yogurt have been great!

After using an electric ice cream maker for 30 years (rock salt/ice) we decided to try something new. I was glad I read the reviews and the directions/recipes before I actually wanted any ice cream. There is quite a bit of prep involved. Chill the tub for at least 24 hours. Chill the mix for several hours. In the end, it worked great. Our ice cream was delicious. It only makes servings for around 6. As the tub is only able to make one batch of ice cream a day, I might need a second tub. I do store the tub in the freezer to have it ready a little faster.

Easy to use. Follow directions in the manual or improvise Made the delicious butter pecan recipe and poured the reserved butter from toasting the pecans into the batch as it was making. Not sorry!

I freaking LOVE my new Cuisinart Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker (though I'll never make sorbet). I've had a Donvier for about 30 years (it was a wedding gift!), and though it still worked well enough, the crank could become difficult to turn. Having a machine that does the cranking for me made all the difference. In the very short time I've had this machine, I've made two batches of cherry vanilla chocolate chip, mint chocolate chip, and avocado (yes, avocado, and it was good). I have a quart of cherry vanilla left and will try some butter pecan next.

The price of store-bought ice cream, the shrinking container sizes plus all the additives prompted me to consider an ice cream maker. This one was highly recommended by my daughter, who has had one for several years and loves it. So far I have made simple vanilla and chocolate and my husband and I are so pleased with the results! I’m looking forward to trying new recipes, and I feel much better knowing exactly what went into my ice cream!

Excellent ….my grandsons prefer this texture of ice cream to store bought… I prefer it’s purity only 4 ingredients !!! They love preparing topping like blended Oreos, caramel and nerds.
