I got this so I could make my own Green Tea Matcha ice cream. This is a hard flavor to find commercially and when it is in the stores, it's so sweet or combined with other flavors it's not recognizable. The best Matcha ice creams are at the Japanese restaurants. I like that I can control the ingredients and add sugar, or monk fruit sugar substitute, and I've made several batches so far with this ice cream maker and have been very happy! It is so easy to use, easy to clean, and the only thing you have to think about is making sure the bucket is kept in the freezer so you can make ice cream whenever you want. My ice cream batches take about 15 minutes to make, so it's very fast! I do notice that while the bulk of the ice cream is soft serve, there is a layer that is more frozen that sticks to the sides of the bucket. This requires a plastic scraper and I found Cuisinart makes a 2-pack hand held scraper set that will work perfectly. All in all, very happy with this ice cream maker!

We really like how easy it is to use. We love how we can add the things we like to it, but most of all, we love the small amount it makes. When we buy one-half gallons of ice cream from the grocery store, we end up throwing away a large portion of it because of freezer burn. This makes a good amount for two people

Worked as advertised. Makes very smooth ice cream in 20 minutes. I store the bucket in a plastic freezer bag in the freezer so it's ready to go all the time. Tuesdays have become ice-cream mornings with my grandkids. It's a little noisy, but no more so than an old fashioned manual machine I remember from childhood. I'm pleased.
