Sent as a gift, this is an ice cream maker that is amazingly easy to use. Maybe, because it's truly idiot proof, I have only one complaint, but it's an annoyance that really irritates. It overflows.
I make a batch of ice cream, set a timer (running it for more than 30 minutes almost guarantees a mess), and walk away. Except Life happens. If I take longer than the 30 recommended minutes to get back to the machine, I can go ahead and get the wet towels together. I can already plan out my pre-dessert schedule. Sticky mix will be all over the simple machine and my counters.
Now, if I make it back before the overflow, there's still a mess to clean up. The paddle is corners that hold soft, fresh mix in such a way that, after 5 batches, I can't figure out how to gently scrape the ice cream off the paddle without wearing or dripping a good amount of it. The mix gets into the sleeve of the machine, and even if caught at that perfect point, will freeze there, at the top pf the paddle, just waiting to melt on the counter.
While this machine is beautiful in it's simplicity and is excellent to clean (I have a lot of practice.), the simple lines and clean (pun intended) and spare style hide a wonderful machine. If your dinners are better scheduled than mine, or you have more creative ways of dealing with the clean-up afterwards.

I'm a Grandma and have so much fun making my own healthy versions of ice cream for my family and guests because it's so easy to use and very easy to clean! Thank you for an excellent product which I highly recommend!

So far so good! First batch was wonderful. I had peaches on hand and the ice cream was delicious. But I did learn that most recipes for ice cream on the internet are for more than 1 1/2 quarts. Easy to store. Easy to use. The toughest part might be not eating too much ice cream.

I've made ice cream many times with this little machine and it works great. I follow simple recipes. For success, keep the tub in the freezer for 24 hours before using. Don't expect hard ice cream, it will be somewhat soft. Don't over fill or you'll have a mess; the mix seems to expand as it churns. The mix works best if it is cooled before churning
