It works. It works better if you really chill your ingredients before using. I will say that I miss the ice and rock salt effect though.

This thing is fantastic!! My husband is crazy about it since I can make him ice cream with a sugar substitute. It took a couple of times for me to get the right consistency - we like soft serve. It gets a little harder when you store it in the freezer but you can just set it out a few minutes before you serve it.
