This ice cream maker is super easy to use and it makes great-tasting ice cream. Here's what I do:
1. I follow the recipes included with the ice cream maker and stir up whatever ice cream mixture I'm going to make, and then I place the bowl in the refrigerator.
2. A few hours later, or the next morning, I turn the machine on, pour in my mixture, and let it do its thing
3. I stick the ice cream in the freezer for a while.
4. I'm amazed at how good it tastes and I usually have a little more
5. I realize I'm going to have to really exercise tomorrow because my tummy is growing.

I have used Cuisinart products for years. Luckily, because they are so good, I don't have to buy that many. This ice cream maker works great. I only need small batches. The only think I can add is that 24 hours in the freezer is not enough. I don't have a chest freezer, which I think would be better. So place the bucket on the BOTTOM shelf of the freezer for at least 2 full days. I did 3 days. It worked great. I have read that some people just store the bowl in the freezer.

I’ve had an original I’ve cream maker from the 60’s that I’ve used and bought this one recently! It’s simple and no battling with ice and salt. Only thing I would like is for it to have larger container. My recipes all have to be reduced but it’s certainly worth it.

This is a replacement for old Ice cream maker. Chilled bowls holds only 1 1/2 qts but the speed of churning is so much better than my old maker, which was not a Cuisinart. Per recommendations from reviews I purchased 2 bowls, problem solved. I first tried a recipe from Cuisinart’s book, then one of my old recipes. Both were successful. Very happy with my purchase.
