Totally pleased with this purchase. So far I have made lemon sorbet, chocolate and vanilla ice cream and smores ice cream is currently in the works. The machine and process are very easy. I have modified the recipes a bit to reduce the amount of flavoring. For example, the chocolate is way too chocolaty and i love chocolate. This has been and will continue to be used at least once a week. Keeping the freezer bowl in the freezer and ready to go makes prep easier. If you want fresh, homemade ice cream, dont hesitate to purchase. Keep in mind this does not make a huge amount at a time but is big enough for my husband and i to eat a batch for 3 or 4 days.

Easy to use, quick and tasty! I had to use rock salt for my old one and I love this one so much more. I used it to make cake batter flavor ice cream and can't wait to try more flavors ☺️.

Our old ice cram maker finally gave out--it had it's own freezing unit and was able to churn ice cream from our concoction in 30-40 minutes. So we replaced it with the New York Times Wirecutter top choice, the Cuisinart Frozen Yogurt - Ice Cream and Sorbet Maker. We couldn't believe how far the technology had come since we last shopped for a machine like this! Talk about efficient, and the quality of the product is sensational, producing an ice cream that has no crystals, is as smooth as silk, and, well, it's the best ice cream we've ever had, bar none. Absolutely amazing, and an astonishing "steal" to buy.

So far, we've only used it once. That said we were very pleased with the outcome. Just made Simple Vanilla ice cream. Will make again and use a little more vanilla. Looking forward to summer and many homemade ice cream tastings!!

Being familiar only with homemade ice cream made in an old fashioned churn involving ice and salt and paying attention I had my doubts about this seemingly simple concept. I must admit I am impressed. The recipes are simple, the preparation time is minimal, and the quantity of ice cream generated is perfect for about four people. Also the appliance is easy to clean and care for. My one negative concern is the lack of a lid for protecting the bucket while it is being stored in the freezer. Otherwise an excellent investment so far.
