our first Cuisinart ice cream maker lasted at least 15 years and was used hundreds of times - eventually, the freezer bowl stopped freezing so we decided to get an entire new unit - we love the convenience of making our own ice cream with just a few ingredients and the taste cannot be beat!

I bought this because I am on a strict diet and it is difficult to find ice cream at the store that I can eat. I also like to be in control of what ingredients are in my food. I made the strawberry ice cream recipe and then made it again, using peaches instead of strawberries. I also used goats milk instead of milk and heavy cream. The ice cream was better than any store bought ice cream I have eaten and so much healthier.

Very easy to use, even for first time ice cream maker. Hardest part is having the foresight to prep and chill your base before you want the ice cream. After doing a few from the recipe book and various people online, I think you can get the basics and start experimenting. Your friends and family will love it, if you decide to share the goods!

It’s super easy to use and easy to clean. I have only had it about a month and I have already made frozen yogurt, ice cream, and frozen custard. They are all wonderful! I do wish that I would have gotten an extra bowl. I probably will get one at some point. I have six people in my family. It’s the perfect size for two or three people though. I do recommend this product!

Making ice cream brings the family together like the good ole days. My parents used to have Nacho Nights and make milk shakes (malted) on the weekends. We've incorporated those, it's just not the same.
Bringing the ice cream maker into the mix has offered more creativity, taking turns, anticipation and dedication to family nights. There are so many options to create new flavors. Each family member (or friend) has a turn and choosing the ingredients. The 24 hour freeze time insures that we do not overdue it, and provides opportunities to look forward to the next creation.
