I've only used this twice so far, but both batches of ice cream were surprisingly good and easy to make, and the machine worked flawlessly. (I read all the negative reviews before buying: most of the complainers seem not to have followed instructions.)
First try: Fresh peach. I used 2/3 heavy cream and 1/3 whole milk, and decreased the amount of sugar and increased the amount of vanilla. Result? Too rich! That didn't stop us from eating it, but the verdict was to use less heavy cream the next time.
Second try: Basic chocolate plus: 2/3 milk, 1/3 heavy cream, less sugar (all organic, no brown sugar), a bit more Dutch cocoa powder. Result? Very much like chocolate gelato.
Next time: Frozen yogurt (flavor yet to be decided).

Very easy. Follow the instructions and you get great, consistent results. If you’re making custard, make sure you cool the mixture completely before pouring it into the machine. You’ll get a smoother, creamier custard.
