I put the bowl in the freezer for at least a day, and when I make the recipe, the ice cream comes out with a milkshake texture and is not frozen all the way. In the end I have to put the ice cream in a container and freeze it for the night but the recipes taste good. Overall not a bad product but could be better.

Great results on the first try! We love making ice cream and experimenting. If we had any regrets is that we wish we got a bigger one to accommodate all the add-ins the kids are experimenting with. Great product.

What a great unit! Highly recommend! The footprint is great, sitting on the counter taking up very little space. It is very quiet when using, producing wonderful, fresh, ice cream upon completion. Those that state they are having issues could possibly be not following the instructions completely. You need to be sure to freeze the bowl, we do for about 2 days. When making the base, you must cool it down, leave in fridge for the recommended amount of time. We actually cool down the churner too! The only regret was not getting the larger unit!

Amazingly good homemade ice cream with absolutely no mess. I read lots of reviews before choosing this ice cream maker and am happy with my choice. I've made ice cream four times in the last 2 weeks. I have been eating low carb for over a year and wanted to make low carb ice cream. There are lots of recipes on the internet and I've tried three different ones. One of the three was just ok and the other two were excellent. My husband who is not following a low carb diet liked all three. You DO need room in your freezer to keep the tub frozen overnight. But that is the only possible difficulty. Everything else is easy. It's also surprisingly quiet. I have it running in the kitchen with a TV on and can hear what is being said on the TV without difficulty. I figured it would be much noisier. One other note which shouldn't be a surprise - the ice cream is like soft serve when done, but putting it in the freezer for an hour or two makes is much stiffer. I put the ice cream on the counter an hour before we're going to eat it to soften up when it's been in the freezer overnight.

I have to say first, my recipes got ice cream need improvement, with that said. I enjoy making my own ice cream and this product makes it very easy. It works well comes with directions and is ready to clean and store. I recommended this product highly.
