I had an old model, and after years of non-use, for some reason the cover wouldn't fit and lock properly. Since it was an easy machine to use and clean, I bought the upgrade of the same. I am very pleased with this new purchase. My first creation was a variation on the basic vanilla ice cream recipe - my version of bananas foster. I made a caramel/pecan crumble, mashed a banana with some rum and added these once the ice cream started to firm up. The ice cream maker worked perfectly and my delicious dessert was ready in less than half an hour. It's quite quiet during operation. I'm planning to make mango ice cream next month.

Very good basic ice cream maker that does its job well. The bowl freezes fast and completely in our freezer. Note that nearly all recipes require extra time in fridge (1-2 hours or overnight) between mixing the ingredients and making the ice cream, frozen yogurt requires straining yogurt through cheesecloth for 2-4 hours, etc.

Our 7+ year old ice cream maker needed replacing and we couldn't be happier that we chose this one! The machine is much quieter than our old one and it is a breeze to assemble. The ice cream is delicious. We are so pleased with this purchase that we congratulate ourselves on the purchase and wish we'd replaced the old machine much sooner. Highly recommended.
