Some have had problems with ice cream mixture freezing. I was leary to get this machine but decided to give it a try. I could always send it back. After reading several sites for tips, I not only freeze the bowl,freezer temp set to -6, but I also refrigerate mixture for 24 hours, then place it in freezer for 10-20 minutes as well as dasher in freezer for only 10 minutes, and then immediately pour the mixture into the bowl . The ice cream is ready in 15 minutes. Vanilla tastes like Dairy Queen. The 1.5 qt size is just right for two. Follow my technique and you should be very happy with this product. I made 4 different kinds adding various flavorings and chips and they all came out perfect.
