I bought this to try to make water ice for my son. I have not tried ice cream yet..
It Freezes to the sides I can't get it out of the bowl. Not good for water ice. Will try sugar free ice cream.

I received my maker as a Christmas gift. Since then I've been experimenting with different combinations of flavors. I really enjoy figuring out lower sugar and fat mixtures. I've used everything from skim milk to French vanilla coffee creamer. . .I've even used Truvia sweetener and have good results with all of them. Whisking a couple of ingredients together, turning on the machine, and 15 minutes or so later we are enjoying homemade icecream. Homemade icecream without the crank. . .my grandfather would be so jealous.

I received this as a present and glad I did. Homemade ice cream is by far better and fresher than anything you have ever tasted. Use the recipes included or go online to obtain some really tasty flavors. I like the one that contain egg tokes. It makes the ice cream more like a custard. The Cuisinart Ice Cream maker is super easy to use and fun. Highly recommended.
