I’ve made both regular and no sugar added ice creams and both have been amazing! I am so thrilled I can make my special diet friendly ice cream in a flavor I am excited about! (Raspberry carob chip!) This is life changing!

I've only used this once, so I'll chalk my experience up to a learning curve. It overflowed, so I had to turn the machine off to take some of the product out, when I turned it back on the product stuck REALLY stuck to the side of the machine. I had to continue to scrap the frozen yogurt down off the edges until it was thick enough. Lesson Learned: Follow the instruction!!! I added to much ingredients thinking just a little more wouldn't be a big deal (it was).

This machine is simple to use, fast, and easy to clean. We've made several batches of ice cream over the past year of owning, and I can't say enough about how delicious it turns out! The freezer bowl stays in our freezer year round so that we can have ice cream at any time (within 20 minutes)! This was one of our favorite wedding gifts, and one that we will give to other couples on their wedding day. I've already given this machine as a gift to someone else, and he loves it just as much!

I own a KitchenAid ic cream maker attachment but wanted a Second bowl to increase how much I could make for dinner parties. In discussion forums I’d frequently heard favorable comparisons to the Cuisinart and bought One instead. I find the Cuisinart is easier to use. It makes the same amount ~1 1/2 quarts, but takes up less freezer space. For me a more difficult step in the process is moving the semi-frozen ice-cream into containers. It can be messy and I found the best results are when I move quickly. The Cuisinart seems easier. There is a difference in how the beater paddles work between the Two brands and at First, the KitchenAid seemed to make more sense. After having used each multiple times I prefer the Cuisinart design and I think the ice cream sets up a little faster. The KitchenAid is an excellent product but I recommend the Cuisinart.

I bought this as a summer gift to my family. So far we've made 5 batches of ice cream. I keep both freezer bowls in the freezer so they are ready for use. Our first batch took a couple days because I didn't realize you have to chill the 'batter.' Now, I pick a recipe in the morning, mix up the ingredients, refrigerate all day, and begin the machine while we're having dinner. By the time dinner is over, we have delicious homemade ice cream. Love it!

I love my new Cuisinart. It performs as promised. Made banana split Custard ice cream, strawberry malted, coconut ices, Italian pistachio gelato, Ben and Jerry's NY Super Fudge Chocolate and I've had the machine less than a month! The bowl freezes well. I usually freeze it for 24 hrs but instructions say 12-16 hrs if freezer temp is 0 or less. This works as well. Purchased an extra bowl because I usually make ice cream when expecting guests and I like to have a variety of flavors.

What a Difference a Cuisinart Makes

Just finished making my 3rd chocolate ice cream dessert (same as HB machine) and it was so easy. Originally, I bought a Hamilton Beach and to compare HB to Cuisinart, Cuisinart wins hands down. The HB takes too long (up to 1 hour), is noisy and breaks easily. My new Cuisinart is done in 15 minutes (as stated in the directions), is quieter than HB and hasn't been a problem (breaking) as yet. Directions are easy and recipes abound, much more than HB's guide. From start to finish I was done with beautiful chocolate soft serve in 30 minutes, HB = 1.25 hours. Customer Service for HB is not only useless, get ready to be insulted with their "professional aire" and non-caring attitude. I bought my Cuisinart to replace HB and I am, so far, very satisfied with my results. Thank you Cuisinart!
