Great Chainsaw!

We bought this chainsaw a month ago. My husband was diagnosed with cancer last year and lost a tremendous amount of weight and endurance due to his treatment. He has
really enjoyed using this chainsaw to gain back energy. It is lightweight and the fact that
you only press a button to start is wonderful. Right now he runs out of energy before it
looses it charge but each day he adds more time. It has become a great form of rehabilitation:) He is looking forward to draining the
battery!!

Super easy to use

This is a super easy to use chainsaw; I loved it until I needed to add oil; I have only mild osteoarthritis in my hands but cannot get the cap off & neither can my 40 yo friend! Total nightmare!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your review. Sorry to hear you are having a hard time with the cap. Here are a few suggestion that may make help removing the cap a better experience. Be sure you have the tabs lined up in the proper slots and free of debris and dirt before you tighten the cap. Leave a little bit of air space instead of filling the tank up to the lip of the filler hole.

We love Greenworks products. My first was a push mower with a cord. Next I bought a battery operated push mower. It's another winner. The brushless saw is also a great addition to our tools. I love being free of gas powered engines that are hard to maintain and start. My only complaint is that it leaks oil which apparently is common with many electric saws. It's annoying because it is messy and wasteful. I rest the saw in a tub when not in use to catch the leaking oil, and we put only enough oil to work for the day. Hopefully the technology will continue to improve and future models will not have this issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

first time ever using a battery powered chainsaw, and it worked way better than expected...
it was awesome to not have the fumes, the mixing of fuels, etc.... way less hassle... plus it cut like a dream... great tool...

The saw works well, is quiet and no smoke (obviously). Unfortunately, Battery charge life is surprisingly short, even when keeping them cool by not overworking. I had hoped for more for the price. It is hard to believe these are 4ah.

Great performance (as good as a gas saw) and much less noise than gas

I have used the saw for cutting up both tree limbs and heavier trunk pieces (12-13" diameter). It cuts very well and the batteries last a good amount of time (I have not timed my usage but the heavy cutting that I did was probably 60-90 minutes). The bar oil flows smoothly and the translucent tank makes it easy to see if you need to refill. I love the reduced noise vs. my old gas saw - it's nice on the ears and you don't have to wear hearing protection unless you want to.
