[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been pretty happy with the chainsaw but it's tensioner mechanism is weak. Whatever component is supposed to keep the chain tight doesn't work anymore. I found a replacement for almost half the price of the saw. I'll probably try to find a more reliable tool. I bought it to use the same battery as my pole saw. I'm quite happy with it. This one is a bit of a disappointment.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very useful tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought the tool to trim branches that I will be chipping since, I did not want to use a large chain saw. It works great, one handed and light and much safer for smaller branches than a larger two hand chainsaw.

I now have the 8’ 24V Pole saw and Shop Vac plus the 40 V Snow thrower and they are work perfectly with a lot of piswer and long battery life.
I would recommend any of the tool

Works but chain keeps coming loose and popping off

I've had the saw for a year now. Its plenty capable for my needs cutting small limbs, trees, and some girdle and spray. The biggest issue, the chain jumps off the bar easily. I've been cutting with gas powered saws my whole life so I'm experienced when it comes to saw operation. I would not recommend any back cut with this or it will be jumping off the saw.

The chain on a Greenworks chainsaw might come off due to incorrect tension, a worn or damaged chain, a worn sprocket or bar, or the bar becoming misaligned. It seems like you have taken all the right steps. You may want to double check the chain tension; it may be too loose. A chain that is too loose can easily slip off the bar, especially during cutting. New chains stretch and require frequent adjustment, so check and adjust the tension regularly, especially when using a new chain.
