Powerful!!

I purchased this tool a few months ago and it did an excellent job cleaning up our yard after winter. Last night however, we had a horrible rainstorm and a 50+ Ft tree fell across our driveway. We do not own a standard chainsaw so I figured "let's try the 6in Pruner Saw". Figured I'd at least cut some of it up. To my surprise this saw cut up a good 50% of this tree! With a little bit of technique, I was able to cut off sections that were around a foot wide. Yeah, I had to recharge the batteries and the tree had a good amount of rot, but this thing has some serious power!
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful

Great until it isn't

I bought this about 3 years ago and have used it probably 6 times, never super heavy use as I only have 1 battery anyways. After sitting idle for around a year, when I went to use it, it just did not work. No response at all. I fiddled with it for a while and it randomly started to work. 6 days later nothing again no matter how much fiddling. It really doesn't seem like it is built to last. Seems like it should be extremely simple electronics, but something has given up. Fairly disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The name kind of says it, I have an acre to clean up and there are lots a trees. The Pruner Saw is just one of the many greenworks tools I have purchased and I follow the daily sales looking for the next one. This one is light and easy to manage and covers a large amount of the trimming I need to do. I would certainly recommend this tool for cleanup of smaller branches and basic pruning.

If additional batteries are purchased in a combo pack (tool + battery) for another Greenworks 24V tool, you will have extra battery that would provide you with the additional run time. Alternatively, additional batteries can be purchased to extend the run time. This unit is compatible with 24V Greenworks batteries (only). The only issues you may experience using a heavier battery is the added weight to the unit which may not be as comfortable to handle as a smaller battery.
