[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To say this device is the perfect size would somehow fail to do it justice — in a crowded field of 14" and larger, this 12" masterpiece takes the ultraportable crown and somehow manages to feel larger than life.
Every part of using the ThinkPad X12 is a compromise-free experience, from the amazing keyboard to the beautiful LCD display; it's a master class in how to actually design/build a 2-in-1 PC.

Great laptop for portable use

The laptop is a great size and weight for portable use and the system is fast enough for MS Office applications, Internet surfing, and light gaming. I really like how light it is, how long the battery lasts, and the backlit keyboard.
I purchased this laptop for Amateur Radio use. The low weight and small size make it a great fit for Parks on the Air (POTA) and Summits on the Air (SOTA) activations. I just used it for Field Day 2025 operations and was surprised with how long the battery lasted. Once it got dark out, I was really happy about the backlit keyboard too. With two USB C connections, I can power the laptop with an external USB C PD power brick while also being connected to my IC-705 radio.
My only complaint is with Passmark Benchmark's performance scores. For the amount of money I paid for the laptop, I expected faster RAM and drive performance scores. However, the laptop has been optimized for low weight and long battery life so I suspect everything has been dialed down to minimum performance to mitigate any heat and battery life concerns. Ultimately, I feel like the laptop is fast so maybe the benchmark scores don't really matter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The laptop is ultra light and super small while still very functional for work and play. I haven't noticed any performance issues with any of the Office applications and I've been using it on older PC game titles without much trouble (I did turn down graphic settings in those games to improve framemates). Given the price, I expected more overall performance, but some sacrifices were made to optimize for battery life and minimize thermal footprint.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exactly what I was looking for…battery life is great, performance is what I need for my civil engineering consulting business (not adequate for CAD software, but works great for plan reviews / markups and project management). I transition from an older 16” laptop to this product and the slim compact design is fantastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exactly what I needed. I was looking for a 2 in 1 tablet computer so I could easily go from working at a desk to out on the jobsite to document things with the camera or take notes. The pen is a big plus. Battery life has been just fine so far and I love that it can be charged via usb-C instead of needing a special plug. The keyboard also is very nice and typing is comfortable with a good feel on the keys. I got the rugged case with mine so I have a carry handle and it works perfect for my situation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just what I was looking for as a computer networking student. Compact, versatile, decent battery given the size. Came with the keyboard and pen which was a huge plus for notetaking. Intel CPU was also a major factor here, couldn't get by with an arm cpu like surface is using. Well done Lenovo!
