Usually I stick a smart bulb in an outdoor light fixture and call it a day but I needed two fixtures just as this came out and the serendipity could not be ignored. Installation was super easy, app found the lights immediately, and it actually made me say “Whoa”. Why not 5 stars?
1) I would pay a bit more to have nice metal & glass fixtures instead of plastic
2) The diffuser is probably great in most respects but there are a few scenes that are rendered very blurry because of it. There are plenty of other scenes if the ‘fish tank’ one just looks like blobs of color over a blue background.
3) One fixture stopped working the next day. One email to Govee and I had a replacement only a few days later with constant communication to let me know it was being taken care of. The replacement has been working flawlessly for a couple weeks now.
Highly recommended! Easy to pair with a motion sensor or set to a timer through the app. I tucked a remote into a weatherproof light switch so I can click 1 for task lighting when I’m BBQing or click 2 for a party vibe when we’re just hanging out.
