We originally bought this for the space saving and the first time I saw it I wanted it. We live in a house but wanted to put a small bathroom in our utility room as we have two kids and three adults in the home and one bathroom. I love it even more now the custom programs and everything else the only issue I have had is the amount of lint and hair that stays on the clothes and in machine very aggravating but other than that I would not give this up just based on the fact that I don't have to take my clothes out of the machine to dry them just set it and go!!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Features/Settings, space saver

Loved it, miss it!!

We sold our house with this "all-in-one" washer in it, as the new owners wanted the washer, and even checked to see if it was still there and the right one during the handover. Now I miss the ease of putting my clothes in at night and having them washed AND dried by morning.
Nice to have the steam feature to take the wrinkles out of my white shirts too.
Plugs into an ordinary 120volt outlet, and uses a fraction of electricity of the others.
I miss the machine and now I can't find another!!
Note: when I installed it, I had to put it on a concrete slab to ensure that it was quiet when at high spin. Well worth it. Amazing machine and great technology.

Would be nice if not for the known problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This would be a very nice product but there's a known problem where it starts filling up with water and won't stop. My feelings are if it's a known problem you should fix it, why are you making me have to deal with it?
Otherwise it works very nicely some people saying with it doesn't dry but it does if you don't overload it like the instructions say
Pros: Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall great value

I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this washer-dryer combo. We live in a very small New York apartment, and size and noise were a big issue in selecting a washer-dryer.
LG seems to have hit the mark with this one. Very stylish, easy to use, and it has excellent capacity for the overall size of the machine. For reference, it washes the same amount of clothes that the typical smaller commercial machine you find at a New York City laundromat handles. It's very easy to use; dial in settings for wash and dry, and then walk away. The wash cycle is very quiet, and the machine uses very little water. The overall dry time tends to be longer than that of the usual electric dryer, but not by much. I had seen reviews elsewhere that complained that the similar larger version of this machine didn't dry clothes adequately and left them damp, but I've had no difficulty getting clothes as dry as I want them to be in this machine. I suspect that those who had complaints were packing clothes in too tightly - with these (and most) dryers the clothes need to be free to tumble in order to dry completely.
The spin cycle on the faster speeds can lead to some vibration here on the 4th floor of an apartment building, especially at first when the clothes are still wet and relatively heavy with water, but I find the machine balances loads and spins them remarkably quietly considering the rotational speeds reached (1300 RPM). After a minute or two, when the initial water weight in the clothes has decreased, the machine is remarkably quiet, and the vibration almost disappears, even at high spin speeds. Mounting the machine on vibration isolation pads seemed to solve the vibration issues for me.
The only issue I have, and the only thing that decreased my overall rating of this machine, is the noisy water pump. The machine otherwise is incredibly quiet, except for the water pump that expels the water from the machine. This pump is active only intermittently during the wash and rinse cycle, but it runs very frequently, although for brief periods, during the entire dry cycle and makes a relatively loud (for this otherwise almost silent machine) noise somewhat like an old door buzzer. The noise is similar to the electric water pump on our espresso machine at work, so I think it's a function of the type of pump used, but I can't imagine that there's not a quieter pump out there that could be used to make this machine overall the most incredibly quiet washer-dryer on the market today? Come on, LG engineers - just do the right thing and find a quieter pump or install appropriate sound dampening material! Granted, the noise is not unbearable (and may not be an issue for those with a separate room for the washer-dryer), but many in the market for a smaller machine like this one will be installing it in the kitchen etc, and it's odd that the amazingly quiet nature of this machine has to be marred by the noise of the water pump...
Overall, if you need a compact, stylish, easy-to-use combo washer-dryer, I would definitely recommend this one.

Great so far

I've had the 24" combo washer dryer for about 2 months now.
It is well-built, and runs a complete wash/dry cycle much more quickly than my old set of stackables.
The only downside is that some cycles (and things that you ought to do for maintenance, like leaving the unit's door open after a completed cycle to let it dry out and help prevent mildew) are less than intuitive.
Read the manual and follow the instructions, though, and it works quickly, quietly, and efficiently, all while taking up much less space than a traditional washer/dryer set.

Great product for limited space

This is a well-designed unit and offers a stylish look with solid performance. It washes well and dries well too. I typically set the drying temp to damp but on occasions that I use the full dry option it works well, which was a concern mentioned by others. I would recommend this product for others how are style-conscious, demand performance, and have limited space.
The one item that was not clear to me when I purchased the unit is that you must use a powdered bleach.

Only way to go with laundry!

The ventless wash/dry combo is tremendous. Once in awhile the load may not be completely dry and needs to set out for 1/2 hour to finish but when weighed the numerous benefits, this is the way to go. Already my electric (not 220amp anymore), water and laundry soap costs have dropped. We use much less soap and water since loads are smaller and much less electricity on dry since it is only 110 and not 220. Even with smaller load size, I do not really do more loads... just better organization of what I do dry. When a cycle is running, you can barely even hear that the machine is on. Well done LG!
