Only way to go with laundry!

The ventless wash/dry combo is tremendous. Once in awhile the load may not be completely dry and needs to set out for 1/2 hour to finish but when weighed the numerous benefits, this is the way to go. Already my electric (not 220amp anymore), water and laundry soap costs have dropped. We use much less soap and water since loads are smaller and much less electricity on dry since it is only 110 and not 220. Even with smaller load size, I do not really do more loads... just better organization of what I do dry. When a cycle is running, you can barely even hear that the machine is on. Well done LG!

The washer works well, the dryer function--a joke

Based on all the great reviews, I purchased this unit. It had to be special ordered, so of course the store knows nothing, and is no help in helping sort out problems with operation. The washer works fine, but the owner's manual gives no clue how to work the dryer "Dry option is not a main function, so if you want using Dry option as a main function it is more efficient that using Dry only model"???? It goes on to instruct pressing the dry dial, but you can't press the dial-you have to turn it! You have to take half a load of clothes out and dry only half a load at a time. It takes over 3 hours to do a load of 6 pairs of jeans and they always come out all wrinkled. I hate this machine.

Excellent apartment machine

We bought this unit for our tenant, replacing a similar machine that went bust after 5 years. I have never heard anyone rave so much about an appliance. The tenant LOVES this machine. It's quiet, it doesn't walk across the floor like the old one, and does a full-sized load. My only concern is how long it will last, given that our tenant may not care for the machine as we would ourselves. Stay tuned...
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

GREAT PRODUCT

I am very happy with this washer/dryer combo. I've had it for about a year and have had no problems with it.
I live in NYC and it's great to have this little machine at home. Beats going to the laundry mat! I just put in a reasonable load and am off to work. I come home and voila! it's all dry and ready for folding! Can't beat that!!!
I hope LG continues to make washer/dryer combos!!!!
Pros: Performance, easy to use

Less Than Good- Buy a Different Machine
on July 24, 2015

I regret purchasing this machine. It's not quiet as other reviews mention. Does not clean cloths well. Takes an unreasonable amount of time for a small load, and no lint trap, leaving it all over the cloths.
Pros: none

I've never spent so much money on an appliance, but after two months of continuous use, my husband and I are extremely happy with our LG washer/dryer combo.
We bought the LG to replace a much-cheaper refurbished washer/dryer combo from another manufacturer, which didn't work for the first three months after delivery, never dried clothes properly, and then finally broke six months later. That experience made me skeptical of the concept, but the LG has convinced me that this technology can work when done well.
The key to (near) wrinkle-free clothes with the LG is to add a little fabric softener with the washing liquid and to not wash and dry continuously, but to first wash, then shake out the clothes, before putting them back in and turning on the normal drying cycle.
Yes, the process takes more time, but I can do other productive things around the house while I wait (or sleep) - and it surely beats going out to the laundromat, especially when it's 10 degrees outside.
Best of all, this machine is quiet and the clothes do dry beautifully.

Wrinkles
on April 5, 2015

I have a lot of LG products(TV, microwave, washer, dryer). They usually have a good dependable product, but my wife is very disappointed with this product. All of the clothes come our wrinkled, and she does use fabric softener. If I could trade it in I would get the stackable washer/dryer for the apartment that we're going to move into. The LG washer and dryer that we had, she loved. She is not pleased with the length of time that it take to do a load of clothes. When doing a large load (a set of king size sheets and pillow cases) the washing and drying spin cycle is very noisy from the vibration..

Outstanding quality appliance

When my stackable washer from another manufacturer broke, I agonized over selecting another washer/dryer. I am so glad that I chose this machine. It is a joy to use and I love the little tune it plays when the wash is done. The clothes are clean and fresh. I am delighted with the machine which by the way I call EDNA.
Edna is a good looking addition to our family!
Customer support is excellent. I will buy LG products from now on.
