New Scent is Overpowering

I have been buying softsoap for years. I just recently stocked up again and apparently they changed the scent? It's not good. It is way too strong. My hands now smell like they've been doused in fabric softener. It doesn't make you feel clean. I'm going to have to return and buy a different brand. Please bring back the previous scent.

Awful new scent

Why did you change this scent? It is awful - smells like an overly sweet perfume, and an unpleasant on at that. If your product and development department likes it, create it as a brand new scent with its own name. But you should have left the Milk and Honey scent as is. I had used it for years, my kids used in college and buy. I will no longer buy, in fact will throw out.

Strongly dislike new scent of the milk and honey

I don't want to smell hand soap for hours after I wash my hands. So glad I did not refill all my bottles with this new soap fragrance.
Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Lingering scent, Unpleasant Smell

New Scent is a Deal-breaker

The Softsoap Milk & Golden Honey has always been my favorite liquid hand soap scent. The scent was light and lingered just enough to still smell it afterwards without being overpowering or stinky, and the soap left my hands feeling nice and smooth. Today my husband came home with a refill bottle and I noticed a tiny blurb saying "New Scent." It is terrible! It's too strong and the only way I can describe it is that it reminds me men's deodorant that's irritating to your nose. I'm so disappointed and I plan to give the refill away because I can't stand that stinky smell. It also left my hands feeling dried out after washing them. The lovely original scent was the only reason I purchased the Softsoap brand. Now I'll buy the store brand of the milk & honey. It doesn't smell as good as your original but it's WAY better than the new scent.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Easy To Use
Cons: Dries Skin, Unpleasant Smell

Bring Back The Last Fragrance, Please!

When I was pregnant the only soap that I could tolerate was the last formula. I recently bought the "new fragrance" and the scent is too strong and too perfumed. For me the last scent was more natural and subtle while this scent is more chemically.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Easy To Use
Cons: Unpleasant Smell
I would recommend this to a friend!

They changed the scent!!!

Whyyy the milk and golden honey has been a perfect soap. The smell was not horrible. BUT YOU CHANGED IT. Why! It's stinks now. And it's not as moisturizing anymore!

OMG Softsoap what have you done?!?!?!

I am so incredibly upset with the new changes and I'm begging you... yes, literally begging you... to go back to the old formula. I've been using Softsoap for over 30 years and your Milk & Golden Honey scent has been my go-to for as long as I can remember. I have allergies and have always been sensitive to fragrances, but this one worked perfectly for me. NOT ANYMORE! I just received another large refill bottle and noticed the "new fragrance" note on the label. The ingredients were still the same so I was hoping that it would be ok. But then I started using it and after less than 2 days had to stop. Not only is the scent terrible, but it's aggravating my allergies causing sneezing, stuffiness, and headaches! And as if that wasn't enough, it was drying out my hands! The gentle, non-drying nature of the product is a huge reason dermatologists recommend it. I was recently diagnosed with eczema and others who have it will be familiar with the nightmare unfolding in my life. The first change I made was to switch to using Softsoap Milk & Golden Honey 100% of the time when handwashing. It made a remarkable difference so I had checked that off my overwhelming eczema to-do list. It was the one piece of this incredibly stressful eczema puzzle that had been easy to sort out... with a product I thought I could rely on as I have for decades. So imagine the horror when, just as using your soap became a medical necessity instead of just a choice, you go and change the formula!! I see that I'm not the only one negatively affected by your company's decisions so I'm leaving this review to add my voice to the others in hopes that it will make a difference. In the meantime, I'm on the hunt for a new soap from a different company since I see you've messed up all of yours. I gave that new bottle away so I need to find something before the 4 pump dispensers in my house are empty. The disappointment and stress are real. Please, please, PLEASE bring the old formula back for us!!
