Why did they change the scent? It is now terrible.

Why did they change the scent formula? The milk and golden honey was perfect. Now they have milk and honey and it is disgusting, pungent, and smells like tons of flowers and bad perfume crammed into the bottle and gives me headaches. It smells NOTHING like milk and honey. Well , maybe spoiled milk. Buyer beware!! I am forced to look for a different brand.

The new scent is horrible

Add me to the list of long-time customers that hate the new scent. The old scent was subtle and not overpowering and the soap was moisturizing. Now the smell is overpowering and perfume-y and the soap makes your hands dry. We bought the "new scent" without even noticing and had to wash out our soap dispensers. You could smell it outside the dispenser! If you like the experience of truck stop bathroom soap or find that drenching yourself in Axe doesn't provide the headache-inducing stench you desire this is definitely the soap for you. Personally, I prefer to not violate chemical weapons treaties when I wash my hands and will look for a new soap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New scent ruined it

I've bought this for years as one of the very rare scents that didn't trigger my allergies.
Unfortunately, SoftSoap decided to ruin a good thing and changed the scent, and now it's a trigger. Will be returning the refill bottle we just bought.

Why Change? This Is AWFUL

I have used this soap for YEARS - it was perfect for those with a sensitive nose and skin. It had just the slightest, pleasant smell. Now it is AWFUL. The scent is so overpowering and "floral" - in addition, it also dries my skin, which it never did before. I am so disappointed and will no longer be buying Softsoap products.

New formula change is awful

I used to love this hand soap. As someone with chronic eczema, it was difficult to find a hand soap that I could tolerate. Once I found this, I stayed loyal to it for countless years. I stocked up on it! Unfortunately, there was a formula change and a new scent. I hate the scent as it makes me nauseated. The new formula dries out my hands and irritates my eczema. I sadly can no longer purchase this and have to hunt down a new soap that can compare to the old formula of the milk and honey hand soap.

New scent/formulation (advertised on the bottle) is awful. Smells like perfume or baby powder now instead of the subtle scent from before. Trips my allergies, so won’t be using anymore of this soap.

Fire whoever changed this formula. It stinks!

What are you thinking!!!! Why would you change a good product? We have been using Softsoap Milk and Honey hand soap for years and years. We use nothing else...until recently. The new formula absolutely stinks. The floral scent overwhelms any thought of milk and honey. We buy in bulk because we wash our hands a lot and the old formula was mosturizing and smelled pleasant. It didn't linger on your hands for long. But the new version is thinner and smells awful. We were loyal customers. We bought multiple bottles of the refill size at a time. No more. We are now searching for a new brand that we can tolerate. Look through all of the reviews on this site. People are screaming at you to bring back the old formula. You are losing customers because of this "newer" fragrance. Please listen to your customers. If I could give this product a rating of zero, I would. It isn't just "poor"...it's unusable. I'm angry because now we have to find a replacement product and it's not how I want to spend either my time or my money. You should have left a good thing alone. Please return to the original product formula. This new version is simply awful.

The new fragrance is totally disgusting!!! Those of us with allergies cannot handle such strong floral scents. That's why the original scent was so pleasing. Will no longer purchase.
