Folgers Instant Gratification

I was never a big fan of instant coffee. However, it's been a long time since I've tried instant and when I received this product free to review it was a good opportunity to take another taste and see if Folgers Instant Coffee Crystals would measure up. I love coffee. It’s a morning ritual for me and I don’t start off my day well if I do not have coffee. But I’m also busy. I’m a full-time working (out of the home) mom with two young kids. Coffee sometimes gets put to the bottom of the list of priorities. Usually when I cannot grab a cup of coffee at home (many mornings my awesome husband makes the time to make a pot), then I am tempted to buy a cup of way-too-expensive coffee at the office coffee shop. Many times I give into this temptation and I don’t have the budget to sustain that habit. The other day I brought in the flip-top container of Folgers Instant Coffee Crystals to the office. You don’t need much to start your cup of coffee - just hot water and a rounded teaspoon of crystals. I was not crazy about the smell of the coffee right away, however I loved how the crystals instantly dissolved and turn the water into a fresh cup of coffee. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. It was so much better than the free break room coffee we are offered at work. With a little half-and-half, I was satisfied.
This weekend, my husband was working and so it was just me for coffee. I didn’t want to make a whole pot, so I grabbed my Instant Coffee Crystals and made myself a cup, quick and easy.
I would say a little goes a long way, so follow the directions on the container which states to use one rounded teaspoon per 6 oz. cup. I think those proportions work best. I haven’t tried it with hot milk yet, but I am looking forward to trying that version as well.
Folgers Instant Crystals provides for an easy, perfect and tasty quick cup of coffee. Be sure to have some on hand for those moments when life gets in the way but you still need your coffee fix!

A great quick pick me up option

I received a free product in exam change for an honest review. I'm one of those moms that is always looking for a faster way to survive the morning rush. I usually make a pot of coffee and it's cold before I enjoy my cup. Folgers instant coffee crystals has given me a chance to enjoy a quick cup without a lot of extra work. While it hasn't yet replaced my normal cup of coffee it has become a way for me to enjoy a hot cup of coffee when I need a quick pick me up. The taste is almost as good as a fresh pot of coffee and the time it takes is worth the difference.

Very good for an instant coffee

Received this and decided to try it. It is good for an instant coffee. I used too little at first and then too much. After playing with amount I made it taste very close to drip coffee.

I think I'll stick with drip

I want to say thank you, as I received this product free for review.
I typically drink 1-2 cups of coffee per day, mostly automatic drip style, but instant coffee is used in a pinch. I enjoy not only the flavor of coffee, but the heady aromas as well. To be thorough, I evaluated this coffee in various ways: aroma of crystals dry, aroma of coffee heated, black, sugar only, sugar and creamer, and with food.
Aroma of crystals dry: Opening the bottle for the very first time is always exciting – it’s when you get the best whiff of that beautiful bouquet. Unfortunately, upon opening this product for the first time, the aroma was faint, yet surprisingly it had a distinct cocoa-like scent. Subsequent days upon opening, there was barely any hint of an aroma at all.
Aroma of coffee heated: I have to admit, I was extremely surprised that when I poured the boiling water over the crystals, what I smelled most was a hoppy (beer-like) aroma that I don’t associate with coffee.
Black coffee: I felt the initial flavor was extremely bitter, but there was that hinting of a cocoa flavor, almost like burnt chocolate.
Sugar only: I put quite a bit of sugar in the cup, yet didn’t taste too much of a difference, the bitterness still overwhelmed my senses.
Sugar and sweetened creamer: I do like a sweeter coffee, so I added a sweetened French Vanilla creamer to my cup and at first the bitterness of the coffee overpowered all the sweetness I added. Then, interestingly enough, after letting the coffee cool down, my creation had a very smooth vanilla flavor, almost like a melted milkshake consistency, which I enjoyed!
With food: I sometimes eat my coffee, that is I pour my coffee, lots of sugar, and lots of milk over plain crackers; it’s something I’ve enjoyed periodically over many years, so I tried it with this coffee and found it to be bland, but personally for me, that is better than bitter.
Overall, I feel this product would be a delight for someone who enjoys a coffee with a bitter flavor and a mild cocoa or hoppy aroma, unfortunately, I am not that someone so I’ll stick with drip :-)

Folgers coffee

So me and my girl friends had our coffee get together as we all ways do but this time we had Folgers every body went for seconds and we loved it so for now on we will start off with Folgers in our cups.

Surprised by the Bold taste of an instant coffee!

I just tried the Folgers Classic roast instant crystals for the first time, and boy, was I surprised! I always thought that instant coffee would taste weak and watery! This coffee is rich, dark and delicious! I like having the option of just boiling some water and grabbing a quick cup of coffee whenever I want to! This is such an easy and quick way to indulge in a rich and bold tasting cup of coffee. I travel a lot and sometimes you go to a country where you can't get coffee, or at least good coffee. I now plan to stash a jar of Folgers instant coffee crystals in my suitcase! You can tell it is a good cup of coffee even before you taste it, it smells and looks dark and delicious! I received a sample in exchange for my honest review.

Too Good To Be Left Alone!

I received this coffee free to review and it is absolutely PERFECT! I even let my 13 year old son try some (black) and I'm afraid he may be addicted to it now! I've never let him drink coffee before except sips of cappi's so it was different for him. My husband, adult son, and I drink this Folgers Classic often and even more now that we have tried this version. Highly recommended, great for the whole family
