Nice dark coffee

The Whole Package

I always end up using my old coffee containers for something but I don’t need to with this packaging. Good taste to the coffee and a satisfying cup all around. I can always depend on Folgers to deliver and I appreciate their efforts to reduce waste.

You can taste the caramelized flavor in it which was nice. The strength was a little on the stronger side which I like. It has a really nice smell to it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very surprised by this medium dark roast coffee. First of all I appreciated the packaging. Easy to open and I liked the minimal plastic usage. This was great as cold brew. Have a nice bold flavor but wasn’t bitter or sour on the end. The flavor was consistent throughout. Smooth and balanced. I would have preferred it slightly more intense/bold.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am the person that espresso was made for. My coffee is so dark you can't see through it. So, I am a religious Yuban dark drinker. But, I will do Folgers Black Silk when I run out of the usual, so I figured why not try. This was listed as being medium-dark and full-bodied. I very well may have forever screwed up my taster drinking motor oil coffee for decades, but no, there's nothing dark about this. It tasted okay, but even my jumbo metal basket filled to the brim still didn't come close to dark enough. And the grind on this is very fine, so fine that it may not work in a cold brew pitcher. And the packaging is terrible. The lids are attached to one side, with a nickel-to-quarter sized hole that the grounds pour out of. Trying to fill the basket and keep the stupid lid out of the way while holding the right way to make the grounds pour out is a fool's errand. This coffee was fine, but that's about as far as I'll go.

Very drinkable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TrailBlazer is labeled as a rich caramelized medium-dark roast. The instructions on the canister recommend brewing this coffee using either a drip brewer or a French press. However, I opted to use a pressurized espresso basket for my brewing. The resulting aroma is wonderfully rich and quite deep. Fortunately, the coffee has a very low acidity level, making it both drinkable and offering a smooth, pleasant flavor profile. The packaging is thoughtfully designed with the intention of keeping the coffee grounds fresher for a longer period of time.
