Can't get the unit to start up

We have plugged in the unit and pushed the start button on the unit it doesn't do anything. We even waited 3 minutes for the delay

Great for workout gym/golf sim room

Did the job, we have 18 foot ceilings with a loft room and before room just seemed dense. After getting this it cools the room right down and love the fan feature.

Missing Large Foam Strips for Window

Setup was not too bad i guess, but i am missing large foam strips to properly put in my window to create that seal. Remote turns on and you can press buttons but it doesn't actually do anything and there are no clear instructions to Sync the remote to the Portable AC or anything. I had to improvise. Also, I noticed you can't adjust the AC flap. Its either open and facing the ceiling or completely closed...wish I could do halfway, but its not letting me and since it's automatic I obviously don't want to manually adjust it.
