When toasting one slice, one side always darker. Darkness adjustment dial also hard to adjust for preferred darkness.

I have other older Cuisinart products. This one seems to be of a cheaper, lower quality. I was surprised. It toasts, but I think I really prefer my Sunbeam that died. The Sunbeam lasted 17 years. Looked for the same model but no luck.
