Not as good as previous purchase of same model

This is our 2nd time purchasing this same exact model of toaster. We bought it again because our previous one lasted several years. This time, the model seems much cheaper in quality. The toaster tends to toast darker on the top portion of the bread than the lower portion which can be frustrating. Overall, it’s okay. Just about all reasonably priced toasters have several reviews of uneven toasting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quite happy so far though a niece had the same toaster and said it didn’t last long with elements burning out. I especially like the extra “rise” feature to allow smaller that usual toasted items to rise to where they can be handled…and also the extra wide slots for bagels. The “max” setting, too, gives me the very dark toasting that I like. And a minimum of effort is required to lever down the items.
