This toaster is very simple to use. Has a cancel button if you have it a little too high. The slots are wide enough for a half of a bagel to be toasted. It’s also lightweight and easy to clean.

First one we bought stopped working after a month, don’t love the replacement either, heat control dial is very imprecise and lever is a bit wonky as well. Also a pain to remove bottom tray to clean. Like the white color though looks good in my kitchen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this toaster to replace one I had for about 40 years. I chose Cuisinart because of the name and reputation of the company. When I received it, I recycled the packaging and put the toaster on my kitchen counter. A few days later I tried to make a slice of toast. The toaster lever would not stay down. Then I tried holding the lever down. The toaster did not even get warm……no heat at all. I tried plugging it in several outlets. Still nothing. I tried to return it but that was a complete customer service nightmare. I was so disappointed, frustrated and upset. I couldn’t spend anymore energy on it so I put it in the trash. I bought a Black + Decker .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
