This WiFi modem and router combo I bought has been working really well! The setup was quick and easy, and the connection has been strong and reliable throughout my home. I’ve noticed faster speeds, even with multiple devices connected at the same time. Streaming, video calls, and online browsing all run smoothly without lag or buffering. The coverage is impressive, reaching all the rooms without dead zones. Overall, I’m really happy with how well it performs—it’s been a great upgrade!

Why so many apps

The new router/motem is working great, the speed is a definite improvement, but why did I need to download 2 apps to make it work? I had download a Nighthawk app and an Xfinity app of course they needed security questions and new passwords for setup. It took about 3 hours of my day to get this thing to work and I still couldn’t create my own Wi-Fi password, believe me I tried. When I went to sign into the Nighthawk app I couldn’t get back in. The security question field just froze, oh well I’m just using the password that came with it. What a hassle! I’ve had to reset everything in my home to the new password.

Decent Enough

It was great several years ago, but as companies upgrade their infrastructures, this Docsis 3.0 modem becomes a bottleneck if you want speeds past 500Mbps. Great if you're on a budget internet plan

This is an excellent router. Since I configured it and got to work with Xfinity, it has been working very well. The download and upload speeds are very good. I like the built-in firewall with SPI and NAT. The admin user interface is easy to understand and set up.
