I bought this modem/router combo to help consolidate some plugs by getting rid of the two separate modem and router. And I’m happy with my purchase the night hawk is great! Works good easy to connect and the app the goes with it helps a lot

Better than my old rental.

I was renting a box off my cable provider and this Nighthawk blows it out of the water. Its a better quality product and is lightning quick. It’s going to save me so much money in renting that old modem.

Poor life span

I have had this unit just over 2 years. It has already failed and has to be replaced. Also has an outdated firmware that netgear will not update due to it being out of the 90 day support, and you have to buy a plan that basically cost the same as a new unit.

Convenient but unfortunate

The modem router itself is nice. Super convenient and easy to set up, but it suffers from a modem issue where any intermittency causes it to not reboot the modem. I switch to another and it works fine. If that issue gets fixed I would be extremely happy with it.
