It was super easy to set up this unit. Just follow the instructions and you’re up and running. The data speeds are fast and just enough for our needs. It ranges well in our small home as well. Great price with great value.

Easy to set up

I wanted to cut cable, my sil suggested Net Gear so I purchased Net - Night Hawk (800 speed). But because I work from home on my laptop in finance, I had to have no interruption in service. Net Gear was easy to set up and with 1 quick call to cable company to change service to just internet (600 speed) that was it! As an older person, I was a little nervous about messing it up but it went so smoothly! With my Net Gear box I don’t miss cable at all! Actually should have made the switch ages ago. It’s been a great experience! Highly recommend!

Died after 2 weeks

I bought this so I could stop renting from my internet provider. Setup was easy, and it worked fine for 2 weeks until it died. I tried everything, reset, checked the logs, etc. Contacted Netgear. Performed a factory reset which was a hassle, that fixed it for less than an hour. I’m 1 day outside my return period. Needless to say Im not pleased with my purchase or experience. In the history of the internet I’ve never had a router malfunction in such spectacular and quick fashion.

Super Powerful Modem Router

We needed a faster, more powerful modem router combo for our home because our new home is more spread out than the two story house we moved from and we also ran into problems with our previous router not having enough channels for all the devices we were connecting. Now with this upgraded Nighthawk combo we don't need any WiFi Extender, downloads are smoother, and connections have been flawless!
