Excellent but with one resolvable issue

Excellent Modem/Router for the value.
Easy to administer, and possess the necessary features for the average home.
My only is was that devices would drop and loose wifi connection. I resolved that by assigning dedicated ip's to those devices and problem appears to be mitigated.

Needed to get 2.4 and 5 Ghz internet

My internet from Spectrum was not capable of breaking out the 2.4 ghz signal to set up my Alexa network. My best option was to use the Netgear Nighthawk router in place of the junk provided by Spectrum. It worked great!

Needed an upgrade

The AC1900 Nighthawk fit perfectly within my budget. My need for upgraded equipment to help with my work-from-home position came on quickly. This item is replacing a modem and a router and I find it much easier to deal with just one piece of equipment. The C7000v2 pretty much set itself up with my Xfinity service and I was working at a faster more consistent speed in less than 15 minutes. Don't hesitate if you need an upgrade. This is a fine piece of technology that will take me into the future, no matter what my job's needs.

The average is good when it is connected to a cable but the speed is low on wifi

A surprising upgrade

Finally decided to install my own gateway after having done the Xfinity rental for a number of years. I was always hesitant because I thought the installation process would be a complicated hassle. Boy, was I wrong. It took me about half an hour to complete the changeover on my own. No outside help required. I chose the Nighthawk C7000v2 and I couldn't be more pleased. I have whole house coverage and then some with no interruptions and no reboots. My advice to equipment renters is do yourself a big favor and get the Nighthawk. You don't have to be a tech guru to install it and you'll be surprised at the improved performance. My only regret is that I should have made the exchange years earlier.

Definitely an upgrade from my last one. Convenient that it’s a modem abs router in one. I’ve had a handful of solid connection issues, but other than that it’s been good.
