Very Stable - not getting speeds I expected

I switched to this modem/router from an Aris surfboard sbg10 because my Aris was cutting connection several times a day and I work from home. This nighthawk has been solid so far for connection, however, I am only getting around 270mbs download vs around 450mbs with the Aris. This is confusing to me because the product data sheet specifies that it is certified up to 600mps with xfinity, which is what I have. I do appreciate the stability and recognize that this discrepancy may be due to something on my end, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Decent modem router combo

If you only need to cover a smaller square footage and don't want to deal with a router and modem, this is a easy and compact solution. It has great speed for the price.

Pretty Good Modem/Router Combo

For the most part, I have been satisfied with the modem/router. With better placement and more devices on Ethernet instead of Wifi would improve the performance but it hasn’t skipped a beat for 3 years
