I have purchased other brands, they did the job. But always within a year or 2, they no longer were supported by the cable company or just gave out. This is the 3rd Netgear cable/router I have purchased. I am definitely a believer in the products. The last router, same model after 4.5 years, started emitting a very high frequency that was constant. I got my money out of it. It happens to all electronics as they age. You won't regret the decision to purchase this unit.

Easy setup - great replacement!

I was paying for the xfinity gateway and finally decided to switch to an alternative modem/router combo. In comes the NETGEAR Nighthawk - easiest setup ever. I’m also happy to say that internet speeds remain unchanged and it has been a seamless transition to a more permanent router/modem. Very thankful!

Set up relatively simple. All devices recognized except for Ring camera. Didn’t recognize the new network name which was the same as the old network name. Finally got to work using the default network/pw. Otherwise, all good.

Reboot

I have had years of good use of this modem however recently I need to “reboot “ (press the 2nd from bottom button and hold) it a couple times a day to get Wi-Fi.
