Upgraded Modem Router

The Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 modem router replaces my Xfinity one that was costing an arm and a leg to rent monthly. This Netgear modem/router is actually giving me faster speeds than the Xfinity one even after I downgraded my speed. This will save me money in the longrun and eventually I will upgrade again to a Netgear Docsis 3.1 modem router when Xfinity requires it. Definitely worth it and I have 22 devices attached at the same time including Alexa and camera devices, so when Xfinity tells you it can't be done unless you pay for their highest speed, it's not true.

Only thing that I would do differently is I would use the same name and password

Easy Setup for Speed

Modem Router was easily connected to Xfinity and activated. We have more speed now on devices (although still not what is quoted by plan on ethernet). I hope it works longer than previous Netgear router.

Great so far

We just switched to our own modem/router to save a little on our bill. We have been apprehensive as we have heard mixed reviews on having your own equipment. So far though, ours has worked perfectly with no big issues. The tv does occasionally glitch, but we went from using the company’s equipment to using all our own and streaming so it’s just an adjustment.

The night before we bought this our previous Netgear modem/router went down (it was almost 5 years old) with no hope of saving it. I had already bought a back up (different brand), and spent 4 1/2 hours of my life trying to get everything in the house to reconnect. After giving up I bought this and had it overnighted, we hooked it up and had everything connected within an hour. And still no hiccups! Grateful for a reliable product that works with ease.
