This router was a great alternative to the xfinity router. Setup was simple, and the app makes utilization a breeze. I highly recommend this product.

No too bad

The range is great and works well so far! Not too bad to set up. Had to use tech support and they were great.
I’m not sure what happened but the base is popped out of main case. Doesn’t affect how it works. Just cosmetic. But seems odd.
Either way. Good price and works well.

Buggy Firmware

I have had this router for a couple of years. I'm not sure why the review was triggered now, but ... here goes.
The C7000v2 is easy to set up and administer. I like the performance (range, bandwidth, simultaneous devices).
But the firmware is buggy and has not been patched for maybe two years. Specifically, the device tries to renew the DHCP lease every 24 hours, and fails somehow (this is an acknowledged problem). I got tired of manually renewing the lease, so not it is on a smart plug that restarts it in the middle of the night, every night.
So, if you come across a C7000v2, but a Wyze smart plug along with it. The Wyze plug retains it's settings (without an internet connection) when you cycle power.

So far all is well. Maybe 30 minute setup. My plan is only 400 mps and it gets close when speed test right next to the gateway.
