New replacement installation contact with provider with no human contact just press buttons so to talk to a person with patience for old people was a relief

Had issues setting it up (turns out due to issues with ISP) and Netgear customer service was incredibly helpful and responsive in trying to diagnose the problem, and the modem has worked perfectly since.

Upgraded to a better modem router and got rid of the cable one. No longer paying the rental fee. Installed just as the instructions said. No hassle at all. Runs like a dream and better connection overall.
