I hade bought a netgear for use on my home tv and it seemed to work ok so I got one for the garage so I would have wifi and could watch TV out thir but it wouldn't work as Netgear support would not help me set it up without paying so I will not ever be purchasing Netgear stuff again or won't be recommending them as well

easy set-up, still working well

I bought this router about 3.5 years ago after a previous router died. So far this router is still running well. My last router died after 4 years and it is my understanding that many last between 4 to 5 years before giving out, so we’ll see how far this one goes.
It was fairly easy to set up, and over the years I have not had any issues directly related to the router, despite how many devices I have all around the home constantly working. I have three phones, two of which have no service and are used with Wifi just for gaming, and I have an Amazon fire cube and various Alexa devices all over, and a ring doorbell and chime. All of these things are operating just fine with this router. Additionally, occasionally I’ll have guest over using multiple devices without an issues.
