Used to use Motorola for Xfinity but found the loss signal frequently, so traded it in buy this unit so far works well

Awesome upgrade

I WFH and had been dropping my connection multiple times a day on the work computer. This was essentially only happening on the work computer, so i had assumed it was an issue with our VPN and not the internet/ modem. After a while I realized the issue was in fact the internet and decided to upgrade to teh Nighthawk AC1900 on the recommendaiton of some others in the area.
WOW. I had no idea how slow our connection was before I switched-- but EVERYTHING runs faster now; video game downloads that took hours now take minutes, no calls dropped at work, not getting kicked off my VPN, and the smart TV loads nearly instantly instead of taking 45 seconds--which doesn't sound like a lot but when the toddler wants Meekah now she means NOW! I'm joking, but it is a major improvement on every level.
And the best part? When i would complain to my service provider the only solution they offered was a service upgrade (more $$$ that would have definitely not improved our connection).
So save your money and get the internet your already paying for by upgrading to equipment that can actually deliver!
Only con was the setup-- switching to a modem/ router in one meant dealing with my service provider to deactivate the previous modem and set up the new one (then returning the old one). Not a huge deal just be aware it's not plug-and-play.

This router/modem was so easy to install and set up. It seems to be keeping up with all of my wi-fi hookups and the streaming is great. All of my wi-fi hookups found the modem without any problems. Very good upgrade from my previous router/modem.
