Better than leasing

One of the ways Xfinity gets more money from us is leasing their cable modem router. I learned recently it wasn't necessary and overcame a strange fear we often have that our own unit won't work on their system. This one works great for us. Could Xfinity tell us in the near future it won't? Yes, and that's a chance I'm willing to take.

In addition to Xfinity registering the new Modem/Router, I had difficulty understanding the Netgear Tech Service rep. His English was very poor.
