Poor software updates

I would give this modem a higher rating, but cannot get software updates if because Netgear claims that you have to get them from your Internet provider and Internet provider will not do 3rd party equipment software updates!!

I updated my old modem-router. It was easy to set up, and easy to relay the information to my ISP. I immediately noticed an increase of speed up and down, and it should last me several year

Brand new but no problems at all. Old modem had to be reset at least every other day, but Netgear doesn't seem to have that problem.
