Decided to purchase instead of renting from the cable company. Was offline and both Netgear and Comcast said it was the other’ issue. Ok again until I added ADT home security. Now I get buffering. Will try moving some of the nine items to 5 GHz.
So I changed from a Motorola surfboard to a Nighthawk. After doing several speed tests before and after there was minimal difference in down and upload speeds. Not sure if the old router with antennas made a difference in connectivity or not but had issues with Nighthawk. Even contacted NETGEAR and still waiting on an answer 2 weeks later
I had to replace my router when it died, so I decided to buy a combination modem/router to save space on my desktop and an outlet in my power strip. The AC1900 was on sale, so I decided to try it out. It turned out to be an excellent choice. It was incredibly easy to setup and activate with my cable provider. The available iOS app also allows me to manage all the router functions on my iOS device, and there’s also an Android version for those who need it. All in all, it turned out to be a great value for the money I paid, and I look forward to many years of use with both my wired and wireless devices.
I recently purchased an AC190 Modem/Router combination from Netgear because my other stand-alone router went toes up. It was incredibly easy to install and configure with my current wired network. Everything worked immediately upon connecting it to the router, and I really enjoy the ability to manage the router using the iOS app available on the Apple App Store. It allows me to see all the devices connected, and even assign names to the various components. All in all, a very good value for the money I spent. Highly recommended.
Had the CM1000 modem and the R7800 router. Both worked great and I was getting 380/450 Mbps consistently but the router failed. To save space I bought the C7000v2. However I’m not receiving the same speed. I’m down to 150-220 Mbps with the same internet speed of up to 400 Mbps with Comcast. I called Comcast and they said they couldn’t find a problem with setup on there end and could not access my modem. Advised me to call Netgear support. I have yet but will in the next few days. The C7000v2 is working great and was easy to set up only issue is the speed. But once fixed it we even greater. I still recommend this modem/router combo.
This was a much improvement over my last cable modem. I have a strong signal all thru the house. the App on my phone allows me to see my network and who it on it.
