Nighthawk as Modem

Using my AC 1900 as a modem with our new Orbi. It was easy to modify the settings from its earlier use as a modem router. We now have good continuous wifi in our sprawling house.

Fast cable modem router

Seem to work well and is fast. Not everything wants to connect to it. I had a MYQ door opener connected to the Netgear I replaced. The MYQ would not connect to this one. Contacted Customer service for MYQ and was told to open port 8883. Then contacted Netgear. Noting worked so I had to get a different smart garage opener.

Worked well overall and convenient combining router and cable modem. Getting parental controls working was difficult relative to my Netgear x8 for no apparent reason

Bought this b/c I was tired of paying rental fees to Xfinity for a modem I bought 4x over. Has been working great so far, only owned for like 2 months.

The setup is so easy to do and my wireless internet was up within minutes. If you have Xfinity, this is the cable modem/router to get.

Best one yet

I was done with paying a monthly rental fee for my cable company’s modem. This was the first item I purchased and the best one, period. It was a breeze to install and the signal is very strong and reliable. Even increased my internet speed with my provider because I felt I wasn’t using the Nighthawk to its full potential. This is the one to purchase if you’re in the market to save some money.

Not that Easy

it was not as easy to set up as I was told and it is not compatible with my service’s apps! Which was very disappointing considering I can’t use the routers apps to its potential bc I don’t know how to!!
