I was renting my modem from Comcast until very recently. It was okay, not knowing I had another option. After purchasing my Nighthawk, I was thoroughly impressed. This is a cost-efficient, secure alternative. Even better, it allows me to monitor devices connected to my network. Very impressed.

I have been a Comcast/Xfinity customer for many years now and rented their modern and cable boxes the entire time. I finally decided to purchase my own modem/router and I am very happy that I decided on the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900. The changeover was a very simple process. My apple and Roku streaming devices as well as my laptop, tablets and phones all respond beautifully to this modem. Although it is not the cheapest modem/router on the market, I highly recommend it. Saving the monthly rental fees will pay for it in a very short period of time. I am so happy that I decided to make the investment!

The USB port on the router does not detect usb devices. I made sure the devices were in the compatibility list. I made sure they work on other machines. This is a defective product and according to the forums a far too common problem with netgear routers. I didn’t try to use the usb until 6 months after purchase... to find out that my router was defective out of the box. Then when I called tech support they told me they couldn’t help me because it was past 90 days unless I pay for a subscription to gear head or whatever. No thanks. I’ll make sure to purchase a different more reliable brand next time since I as the customer feel like I’m being treated like shirt.

Easy and Quick with lots of throughput

We are on Spectrum and their cable/router they give for free is poor to say the least. We need the top bandwidth and the 2.4 and 5 GHZ channels and the AC1900 delivered the speed and ease of setup. Would definitely buy this one again as specs continue to get faster and improve. You wont be disappointed.
